Welcome to Valsjöhöjden's Kennel!

The kennel is located at our farm, Stora Kryckeläng, in the small village Ludgo, between Nyköping and Gnesta in eastern Sweden, about 85 kilometers from Stockholm.
We breed Flatcoated retriever and Borderterrier and we produce about 3-6 litters/year.

Both breeds need a high degree of activity and personally we use all our dogs for hunting. For us, it is therefor important that all buyers are aware of our breeds' original attributes and qualities. Our buyers need to be active people who find pleasure in living, training and working together with their new family member. We do not, however, believe that a specifik and exclusive interest for hunting in our puppies' new homes necessarily is needed for the dogs' well-being. We encourage all sorts of stimulation that appeal to BOTH dog and owner.
In our work with breeding new individuals it is important with the concept of "dual purpose". We want to contribute with healthy dogs with a nice temperament, excellent working qualitys and a nice and functional exterior.
